5-Days Tour to Georgia

Day 1 / Arrival Day

  • Arrival at the Tbilisi airport. You will be greeted by a Start Travel representative.
  • Transfer to the Hotel.
  • Free evening to stroll around the city.
  •  Overnight in Tbilisi.

 Day 2 / Tbilisi – Mtskheta Tours

  • Breakfast at the hotel;
  • 09:00Excursion to Mtskheta;
  • Drive to Mtskheta. Mtskheta is a formal capital of Georgia. Mtskheta is known to be the religious capital of Georgia, in which one of the most important cathedrals – Svetitskoveli is located. Svetitskoveli can truly be accepted as the pearl of Georgian architect and is one of the UNESCO sights. The second destination during the trip is Jvari monastery, which stands up on the hill, overlooking the town. The architecture of the church has been retained from the VI cc and represents one of the most interesting monuments in whole Georgia.

  • 17:00 “ Tbilisi city tour;
  • The tour bus will meet you by your hotel, and drive you to our wine region – Kakheti. Sighnaghi is one of the prettiest towns in Kakheti. It was built 790 meters above the sea level on one of the slopes of Tsiv-Gombori Range. Georgians often call Sighnaghi ‘the city of love’ due to its charm and romance. Narrow cobblestone streets, beautiful balconies, and vine-covered courtyards, make Sighnaghi into one of Kakheti’s main attractions. Next destination will be Bodbe Convent, located 2 km south of Sighnaghi. Bodbe Convent is dedicated to St. Nino, who is buried there. The little church was originally built, over the saint’s grave, by King Mirian in the 4th century. The convent has a beautiful view of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus mountains. The tour will end with the drive back to Tbilisi.
  • The first destination of the trip is “Sameba” Holy Trinity Cathedral, which is the third tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world. The trip continues with a stop at Metekhi Church and the statue of Vakhtang Gorgasali, the founder of the capital city of Tbilisi. There you can see the beautiful panoramic view of the Narikala Fortress. From there you can walk down towards the cableway station and by using the cableway go up to the Narikala Fortress. At the Narikala Fortress you can enjoy and take pictures of the great view of the old city. Once you get back to the cableway station, you can cross the Peace Bridge and walk alone the narrow streets of Shardeni and Erekle, which are full of cafés and restaurants, with a touch of Mediterranean character. On your walk you’ll encounter Sioni Church and then Synagogue, cross Leselidze Street, and reach the Sulfur Baths. Along the Sulfur Baths, you can see the beautiful balconies of Abano Area, as well as the Mosque.

Day 3 / Tbilisi

  • Breakfast at the hotel;
  • Free day in Tbilisi;

Day 4 / Tbilisi“ Sighnaghi Tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel;
  • F/D Excursion to Sighnaghi, Kakheti

 Day 5 / Tbilisi “ Kazbegi Tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel;
  • F/D Excursion to Kazbegi Mountains
  • The tour buss will meet you by your hotel, and drive you to Kazbegi, which is 160 km from Tbilisi. The bus will go through the Georgian Military Road, which runs between Tbilisi (Georgia) and Vladikavkaz (Russia), and is 208 km long. On the way to Kazbegi, you will visit Ananuri fortress, situated on the foreland by the Aragvi River, and overlooking Zhinvali reservoir. Next stop will be in Gudauri, a Georgian skiing resort, located at the altitude of 2200 meters above the sea level.
