You will visit the Ak-Sarai Palace ("White Palace"), which is an exceptional monument of medieval architecture in Central Asia. While only two powerful pillars of the huge entrance portal from the original palace remain today, the palace's architectural decor reflected the highest school of Central
Asian architecture, using various techniques such as tile and brick mosaics, majolica, and painting with stylized floral ornaments. The palace amazed contemporaries with its volume and richness of decoration. An Arabic inscription on the entrance portal reads: "If you doubt our strength, then look at our buildings."Next, you will visit the complex of Dor-us Saodat ("Receptacle of Power"), which was designed by Tamerlane as a dynastic tomb for himself and his descendants during the 14th to 16th centuries. There is also the architectural ensemble Dor-ut Tilovat ("Place of contemplation"), which consists of the mausoleum of Tamerlane's spiritual mentor and his father, as well as the Kok-Gumbaz cathedral mosque ("Blue Dome").
